Tree of Eden

About – “Tree of Eden”☺

The label “Tree of Eden” is an allegory to the “Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil” said to exist in the Garden of Eden. The label is thus a metaphoric representation of my aspirations for this blog – which is to serve as a personal collection of information that I have encountered in my mindless hours of web and news surfing.

There is no religious motive behind this blog but there is a deeper philosophical motivation for it.

In a way, the blog intends to portray the complexity of the human experience most especially our desire and the temptation to ‘learn it all’. Simultaneously it intends to portray how when armed with knowledge we succumb to instrumentalizing it and reducing it into dichotomies of ‘good’ and ‘evil’. This I believe is humanity’s Pandora’s Box –  that our insatiable desires is partly responsible for generating the best and worst attributes of humanity.

On a simpler note this site is the product of solace lost through eternal distraction with ‘happenings’ or simply put: a collection of ‘informed distractions from mindless hours on the web’
